Ambition.

DAY THREE - Ambitions
What are your ambitions? What do you do each day that doesn’t contribute to/detracts from your ambitions? Can you eliminate it?

I strive to be better everyday. To learn how to be a great leader and follower. To live a healthy life and take care of my body and mind. To develop my professional skills and stand out.
Things that prevent me from doing this:
doubt
uncertainty
procrastination
a tendency to  not ask for help when needed

Some of these things I can eliminate, such as procrastination and not asking for help.  I accept that doubt/uncertainty will always be in the far back of my mind, but I can choose to be confident. This year I will do everything I can to remain confident in my abilities. :)

RESOLUTIONS!

At first, I had no interest in creating resolutions.  Simply because every year since I was 12, I have not reached one of my goals (which is to completely lose all my weight and keep it off!). I go up and down, up and down, up and down.... In the summer I had a really good run. I looked great, felt great, and my confidence was flowing (in a good way)!

Then I started my full time job and completely abandoned all desire to take care of my body and mind. Which lead to extra, uh, baggage.

My 2012 resolutions (more broad than ever before):

PERSONAL

-More friend time (building new and old relationships)
-Spend more time with Pukka (whether that's visiting or calling)
-Be a better sister, daughter, friend, and fiance.
-Save money
-Pray more (express gratitude every single day)

PROFESSIONAL

-Apply to be Senior Corps
-Apply to Red Frog Events
-Look into networking & begin meeting people
-Improve and kick as at being a corps member for the last 6 months!

HEALTH

-Train for 1/2 marathon coming up March 24th!
-Work out to feel beautiful and healthy
-When in doubt, remember you are awesome aaaand that you're the maid of honor in a wedding on March 26th!
-Eat to fuel body, eat what is good for body, eat what you'll be proud of.

During the year I may be tweaking/changing/adjusting this, but for now this feel just right. :)

Reflection.

Last December I did something called Reverb.  Yes, this was supposed to be something I did last month, but I simply forgot. :)

DAY ONE - One word.
Encapsulate 2011 in one word. Explain why you’re using that word.
Last year this questions was also asked. I also created a word for the coming year, which was 'success'. After re-reading the post, I realized that I accomplished the goals I wrote out.
I graduated college. For most of the year I maintained and improved my health. I was accepted into City Year, where I'm dedicating a year to service tutoring 5th graders and creating after school programs. I have grown as a girlfriend (now fiance!), a woman, a sister, a daughter, and a friend.
Therefore, since I accomplished all of my goals, I would say my word that would encapsulate 2011 is success.
